I grew up in a house that was grounded in beauty. My mother’s needlepoints and my father’s watercolors adorned our walls as did the art from my father’s contemporaries from Art Center where he attended and later taught. As a car designer, he imbued within me a sense of wonder, scale, and form. One of my favorite memories as a child is sitting in my dad’s studio, watching him paint. He taught me about watercolors and shading with charcoal while the sweet smell of his pipe and the sounds of his favorite music filled the room. I began my studies at UC Berkeley, Graduate School for Interior Design. I completed my first design commission a month after I finished my first semester of graduate school. I have been working ever since.

I never forgot about the direction I received from a professor who taught me about scale and ratio and I still use these tools today. I received a certificate in Sustainable Design from UC Berkeley X, a Bachelor of Arts from UC Berkeley, and an Advanced Certificate in Tao Geomantic 1: Environmental Studies from the Qi-Mag International Feng Shui & Geobiology Institute. As a previous Global Program Manager at Hewlett Packard and a computer programmer, I came to interior design later in my life. My diverse background has prepared me to lead this uniquely talented group of creatives, providing a strong foundation in the structures necessary to allow for complex projects. I believe that there is immense value in acknowledging the effort of those I work alongside, and I have a great sense of pride when someone sees themselves in the space that our team has been able to bring to life.
