People come to Loczi Design to do exceptional design. They tend to stay for everything that comes with it.
We’re a boutique luxury interior design studio in San Francisco with a team that genuinely likes being a team. We work hard, laugh a lot, challenge each other, share ideas freely and take the work far more seriously than we take ourselves.
And the work is pretty damn good.
Design With a Point of View
Our projects take us from San Francisco and Berkeley to the Peninsula, Wine Country, Tahoe, Sacramento, Long Beach and Los Angeles. We design homes for smart, interesting clients who care about architecture, art, food, travel and, most importantly, how they want to live.
They hire Loczi because they want a point of view.
That gives our designers room to explore.
Our projects move fluidly between interior architecture and interior design: space planning, kitchens and baths, custom millwork, stone and tile, lighting, furniture, vintage, art and all the layers that turn a beautiful house into someone’s home.
The Loczi language is Bold. Color. Pattern. Texture. Rich materials. A little tension. Something unexpected.
But there’s no house style to copy. Every designer here brings something of their own, and the fun is seeing what happens when those individual voices collide with the Loczi point of view.
That’s our secret sauce.
Creativity + Follow-Through
We love the creative side of interior design. We also know that a brilliant idea isn't very useful if it can't be drawn, priced, ordered, fabricated or installed.
Our designers work across the entire process, from early concepts and space planning through materials, furnishings, drawings, vendor coordination and installation.
One day might involve developing a custom piece of millwork. Another might mean reviewing stone slabs, working through a floor plan, meeting with a fabricator or figuring out why the sofa that looked perfectly reasonable on paper suddenly seems enormous.
That’s the job. And we love it.
Small Studio. Big Opportunities.
Being boutique means nobody disappears into the machine.
Designers have access to the principals, the entire design process and, importantly, each other. Senior designers lead small teams and mentor younger designers. Younger designers contribute ideas and have opportunities to see how those ideas become real.
We work directly with clients, architects, builders, artists, makers, fabricators and showrooms. Collaboration isn't something we save for meetings—it’s how the studio operates.
If someone finds an incredible material, sees a great exhibition or discovers a tiny fabric house we should all know about, it becomes part of the studio conversation.
We want Loczi to be a place for people who are genuinely curious about design and the world around it.
Get Out and See Things
Great design doesn’t happen entirely behind a computer screen.
We believe in getting out of the studio: showrooms, gallery openings, installations, design events and industry gatherings. We look for opportunities to experience new products and materials firsthand and attend major design events and furniture fairs such as High Point Market and Design LA.

A Studio With Momentum
There’s something special happening at Loczi right now.
Loczi was named a 2024 San Francisco Magazine Best of the Bay winner, following Modern Luxury’s 2025 Home of the Year and 2025 Best Traditional Residence.
The recognition is exciting, but what we love most is that the studio keeps getting better.
Better projects. Bigger opportunities. More ambitious design.
And really good people to share it with.
Chloe joined Loczi earlier this year and has already become part of the fabric of the studio. That matters to us. We don’t hire constantly, and openings here don’t come around all that often.
When we add someone, we’re not simply filling a seat.
We’re adding another personality, another design perspective and another person around the table.
