Zai Divecha is the designer and metalworker who works under the artist name Elektra Steel. She's a Bay Area native and Yale graduate who learned to weld at age 14. Blending digital fabrication tools with traditional metalworking techniques, Zai creates large, geometric wall hangings out of steel. She works out of a shared metal shop in the Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco.
